The why & method behind
yoga therapy
Yoga therapy is more than a yoga class—it’s a structured, individualized process that uses traditional yogic tools through a modern, physiology-informed therapeutic lens. We work with the body and nervous system in simple, repeatable ways—using breath, gentle movement, relaxation, and meditation—so your practice becomes practical and sustainable, supporting stress regulation, recovery, and real change in daily life.
When stress stays “on,” the body can remain in a state of protection—muscles brace, breathing becomes shallow, sleep and digestion get disrupted, and pain sensitivity can increase. Yoga therapy helps the system shift toward regulation and recovery with tools that are simple enough to use in daily life.
note: Yoga therapy is a complementary practice that can support your wellbeing alongside medical care—it isn’t a substitute for diagnosis or treatment.
The method :
Regulate the Nervous System Gently
Because when the nervous system is stuck in stress mode, sleep, digestion, pain, and mood are all affected — regulation helps the body shift toward rest, recovery, and clearer focus.
01Strengthen the body, calm the mind
Breath-led movement builds strength and mobility while easing tension—supporting stress regulation and more comfort in all aspects of daily life.
02Repeat, Refine, Integrate
A simple home practice, gentle repetition, and small adjustments over time—so stress patterns soften and the body feels better.

In their own words,
what clients have shared
“I started yoga therapy to help me in calming down my nervous system. After an alarming autoimmune diagnosis, I wanted to throw everything at my treatment.
I went in with an open mind and after my first visit, I felt physically lighter. That lasted a few days!
It’s been a few months, and I’ve learned techniques to help in so many ways. My responses to daily challenges are much gentler. Two days a week I get to check out and ground myself with Niti. I’m so thankful for the help she has provided me!”

“When I started yoga [therapy] with Niti, I was unsure what to expect. I was seeking an avenue to challenge my body and mind to develop inner strength to handle grief with stress, as well as a strong physical core with flexibility.
Her technique and approach to yoga has helped me develop inner peace, strong breathing control and has challenged my physical strength and flexibility. It has relaxed by body and soul while restoring my ability to meditate as means to manage daily stresses.
Niti presents a welcoming atmosphere with gentle encouragement to succeed with yoga.
I feel much more in touch and at ease with myself and nature.”

“Working with Niti over the past four weeks has been a truly transformative experience. I was dealing with chronic stress from work and a nervous system that was stuck in “fight or flight,” but through yoga therapy, I no longer have anxiety attacks and my sleep has significantly improved. One of the most surprising outcomes has been that I’ve also lost 10 pounds as my nervous system became more regulated. The biggest shift has been feeling like I actually have tools to support myself instead of just pushing through discomfort. Now I feel more grounded, more in control, and more connected to my body. I highly recommend Niti for anyone dealing with stress, anxiety or looking to build a healthier relationship with their body.”
